Smoked
How do smoke detectors always know when it’s 1 a.m. on a Sunday morning?
And is it just me, or can you actually hear them laughing at you while you fumble around trying to change the battery at 1 a.m. because they KNOW they’re so user-unfriendly by covering the battery with something that doesn’t come off? Ours comes complete with instructions printed right on it - telling us to do stuff that it won’t actually do. Not even in the daylight, normal hours either.
Fortunately for us, we have air mattresses, a second bedroom, and a noise-machine. And a laid-back apartment on-call maintenance lady who didn’t seem overly concerned that we finally broke the thing ourselves to fix it.
